About this piece
Cast in copper-bronze in a small foundry near Plovdiv from a single mould — no welds. The four tines are tapered and sharpened on the inner edge so the fork slides through clay rather than fighting it. The handle is European ash, shaped on a lathe and finished with raw linseed oil so it darkens with use. Copper does not rust and, anecdotally, slugs are slow to cross it. Total length 28 cm; the head is 95 mm wide.
