About this piece
Love-in-a-mist is one of the easiest annuals to grow — scatter the seed where you want it to flower in March or April, rake lightly, water once. Plants reach about 45 cm and bear pale blue, soft pink and white flowers from June, followed by inflated seed pods that are as good in a vase as the flowers. Self-seeds reliably so one packet usually buys you a few years of nigella. About 200 seeds per packet.
