About this piece
Plain jute twine, 2 mm thick, wound on a small ash spool that lives well on a potting bench. Strong enough to tie up a bean cane, soft enough to use directly on a tomato stem. Compostable when you are done with it. Roughly 100 metres on the spool — usually a season or two of work. Made in Romania, the spool is turned in Bulgaria.
